Nuke Callouts: Every CS2 Position Explained, Upper and Lower Floors

CS2 Nuke callouts map with all 41 positions on both floors

Nuke callouts split into two floors. A site sits upstairs, with Hut, Heaven, Mustang, Squeaky and Main around it. B site sits directly below, with Rafters above it, reached through Ramp, Secret, Vents and the Tunnels. Outside, Silo and Garage connect them on the surface. Learn the floor first, then the name, and calls stop sounding like guesswork.

Why Nuke callouts confuse new players

Most maps spread their bombsites side by side. Nuke stacks them. A is on the upper floor of the reactor building, and B is almost straight underneath it, so a player standing on A can be a few metres from someone on B and still be a long rotation away.

That's where the "upper and lower" confusion comes from. When a teammate says "two lower", they mean two players heading for B through Ramp, Secret or Vents. "Upper" is A. Get that one rule into your head and half the map makes sense.

The callouts themselves have barely changed since CS:GO. The names you hear in older pro demos still work in CS2.

Which callouts matter most in a real round?

You don't need all 41 on day one. In actual comms, maybe a dozen carry most rounds: Outside, Secret, Garage, Silo, Lobby, Squeaky, Hut, Heaven, Hell, Ramp, Vent and Decon.

Calls get short. Nobody says "one player is in the lobby area near the squeaky door". It's "one Squeaky, one Lobby, Ramp's empty". The fewer syllables, the faster the information lands, and on Nuke that matters because rotations between floors are long and every second of warning helps.

Vent is the one that catches newer players out. Somebody dropping through Vent from A to B can turn a lost upper fight into a lower retake in seconds, so it's worth calling every time you hear it.

How pro teams use these calls

Nuke has a reputation as one of the most CT-sided maps in the pool, mostly because both sites have narrow entries and CTs can rotate between floors faster than Terrorists can walk around Outside.

Over the last three months on HLTV, PURE have played Nuke 5 times, winning 2 (40%), as of 16.10.2026. Source: HLTV PURE team page. Five maps is a small sample.

Most organised teams treat Outside and Ramp as the information that decides rotations, so early calls there are worth more than kills.

Common mistakes with Nuke calls

Calling "A" or "B" when you mean a floor. Say "upper" or "lower" if you aren't sure of the exact spot.

Forgetting Vent and Secret exist. Both are quiet routes between floors and outside, and a missed call there loses rounds.

Mixing up Hell and Heaven. Heaven is the raised spot over A. Hell is underneath it.

FAQ

Is A site on top of B site on Nuke?

Roughly, yes. A is on the upper floor and B sits underneath it, which is why players call "upper" for A and "lower" for B.

What is Secret on Nuke?

Secret is the staircase that runs from Outside down into the Tunnels near B site, near Garage.

Where is Heaven on Nuke?

Heaven is the raised area overlooking A site. You reach it by the ladder in Hell.

Did Nuke callouts change in CS2?

Not in any meaningful way. The layout and names are the same or very close to the CS:GO version.

Is Nuke CT-sided?

It's widely seen as one of the most CT-sided maps in rotation, because of its narrow site entries and the CTs' faster rotations between floors.
